rooted in the past, sowing for the future

Nails Creek Baptist Church was originally a log chapel built by Reverend Moses Sanders, a soldier in the Continental Army serving under George Washington. This building's first use was as a mission to the Indians and early settlers who lived in the area, but soon they outgrew their log chapel and had to build a new structure. On February 11, 1787, the church was opened and Rev. Sanders became the first pastor. Its focus has always been missions and so, Nails Creek has the honor of being the mother church of many in our area. Since then, the church has been rebuilt and renovated to meet the needs of today, but the same mission mindset is ever present

Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.

Nails Creek doesn't run with only those shown above. We have lots of people who volunteer that make Nails Creek Baptist Church what it is today and we sure couldn't do it without them! The worship team, deacons, small group teachers, children’s volunteers, greeters, treasurers, maintenance crew, production team, committee members, the safety team, and so many more are a HUGE part of our church. So next time you see them, be sure to let them know how much you appreciate them and all that they do!
